We have had a new purpose-built saddle fitting base with workshop, where we can carry out repairs as well as showcasing leatherwork and new exciting brands. But, most importantly we have full private use of a 55m x 35m Andrew Bowen’s arena will a full jump course for use on saddle fitting appointments and ample hardstanding for lorries and trailers. Buckaroo continues with our mobile saddle fitting and checks at your own yard across 10 counties as well as further afield. Our relocation enables Buckaroo Saddlery expansion plans for the next 10 years and to improve our customer service to both new and existing clients.
Fully qualified Society of Master Saddlers saddle fitter, and fully skilled MSFC saddle fitting consultant
Nicola Barry is a 32-year-old, multi-faceted entrepreneur based in Leicestershire. Nicola is one of the brightest, young business minds working in the equestrian world today, where she currently owns, manages and has direct involvement in the day to day operations at Buckaroo Saddlery.
Nicola first started at Buckaroo after graduating with a BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Sports Science from Nottingham University. Before founding Buckaroo, Nicola started working as a sales advisor for Equissage, honing her skills and crucially becoming immersed in the equestrian industry. A big part of this personal and professional development, included Nicola achieving the prestigious honour of becoming the first person in the UK to be a fully qualified Society of Master Saddlers saddle fitter, as well as a fully skilled MSFC saddle fitting consultant.
In addition to Nicola’s business acumen and expertise, she has progressed into an international show jumper, competing at illustrious events across the UK and Europe. Her finest personal achievements as a rider include; various placings in International classes, competing at HOYS and being selected for the Sport England ‘Step up to Gold’ programme with 3 horses on the World Class Equine Pathway programme. However, throughout all of this success on a professional and personal level, Nicola’s burning passion for developing and improving young horses has never waned, and probably her proudest achievement comes from achieving a life-long ambition of being able to produce horses that have gone on to compete at the top level with various Olympic riders.
